Why did we choose to 'add complexity' as a design tool...?

...Because the house is located on a narrow plot, wedged between a busy road and a beautiful lake.

...To create sufficient interesting relationships between the different functions within the home, without reinforcing the boundaries of the plot.

...And at the same time offering a diversity of views of the lake from every room.
